Is fugly the new fashion?

Happy Sunday everyone!

I am about to have a BF, for those of you who have not seen White Chicks, it is a b**** fit, so hold onto your seatbelts. Lately all I have been seeing celebrities, models, bloggers, and other fashionista's wearing are these so called "ugly sneakers" or "dad sneakers". Yes that is they're actual name, I am not personally calling them ugly. You know, those outdated and awkward shoes your dad would always wear with jeans or tall white socks.  Ugly sneakers are parading their way into the fashion scene and even though they are seen to be ugly, they are more fashionable that your average Adidas superstar. I do not know how I feel about them, I hate them and think they belong in a trash can or at Goodwill, but I kind of want them...There is something about them that make an outfit go from 0 too 100, adding an element of eccentricity with a side of wow. You might be thinking what the hell could I wear these shoes with, well it can be anything. Tennis shoes has made their way into being commonly incorporated with just any outfit, high end or casual. Famous names like Bella Hadid, Kylie Jenner and even Kim Kardashian have been spotted taking this trend out for a spin so you know it's legit. Below you will find exactly what I mean when I say ugly dad sneakers, and just what brands carry them in case you are like me who hate them but secretly want them. Here are my favorites!

After seeing my favorite ugly dad sneakers, you might be thinking wtf or omg, or both. These chunky, awkward, and one of a kind sneakers have made their way on the top of the fashion food chain, only question is, will they survive?

Hold onto your teddy bears

Happy Monday everyone!

As the weather slowly transitions from being calm and collected to cold as s***, it is time we remove the dust from our "winter coats" bin that has been in the back of our closets. I know that I have already posted about winter coats for this year, so I thought I would turn it over to jackets. You might be thinking why are we talking about jackets when it is 30 degrees outside, but it is because there is a new jacket that has come to town. So you better watch out. Here we have the teddy bear jacket, and no it is not a jacket that has teddy bears embroidered on it. It is a jacket that is known for its soft and plush faux fur features, all of which resembles our favorite childhood teddy. When it gets cold out, every fashionable girl looks for two things, comfort and on trend, so the teddy bear jacket trend fits the criteria perfectly. I found my first teddy bear jacket at Plato's Closet when I was there in search for a jumpsuit for a game day. When I was scrambling through the clothes racks I came across a soft cream furry jacket. It stuck out like a sore thumb and I was immediately attached. Within the first glance, I was in love. I tried it on and was even more shocked to see it was from Juicy Couture and had the original tags still on. We all know that Plato's Closet comes in clutch with their affordable prices so I was able to purchase the originally $70 jacket for $10. So with that being said, I found an immense amount of affordable teddy bear jackets that I hope will help you find your perfect match!

These teddy bear jackets do no justice to the variety that is being sold. If you are like me and need options, I would suggest going on Urban Outfitters and/or ASOS. From research, I saw that they both sold multiple colors, styles, and sizes of teddy bear jackets. I hope you find your best teddy bear jacket and give it as much love and attention as you can.

So hold onto your teddy bears, there's a new chief in town...at least for the winter.

Brace yourselves, winter is coming.

Goodbye summer wardrobe, hello fall wardrobe!

When it comes to the seasons, I have to admit I am more of a warm weather kind of girl, but after this dreadful summer I'm calling it quits with the heat, I am officially ready to wear layers on layers. This past weekend I finished packing up all of my summer clothes and managed to find a few boxes in my shed labeled "fall/winter clothes". As I opened up the box, I could smell the dust and the cry for help. All of my winter clothes consisted of last years trends. Although I will still wear them because trends always come and go, it also meant that my closet deserves a small, or large, update. Time to go fall clothes shopping! Before I go shopping I always like to browse the internet to find out what kind of clothing I want, what is trending or soon to be trending. Don't get me wrong I love wearing clothes that I like regardless if they are popular, but I do like to see what is out there. So after I completed my research I found a few items and trends that I was head over heels for and that I will definitely keep a look out for to wear this coming season and you should too! I cannot wait to see what this upcoming season will bring. Welcome home fall.

The best thing about season transitions are not only the transitioning of trends, but the new collections stores come out with when they switch from season to season. So head down to your favorite stores or get out your laptop and take advantage of your online shopping addiction. Happy searching!
