Traveling fashionista must see: 10 Corso Como

The B is back from the dead, hold onto your Prada.

Sooo guilty as charged I have been completely MIA since the beginning of the summer, yeah oops, but I am back in full throttle! Summer was amazing, the highlight of it was that I was able to spend time in Milan, Italy for two weeks which is why I am writing this article and now I am back in the routine of being back at college (go bears!). Back to me visiting Italy, I was fortunate enough to spend two weeks there and I got to travel to many different cities such as Sestri Levante, Rapallo, Chiavari, Liguria, Genoa, and my favorite, Milan. Whenever you hear about Milan, you ultimately think of one word-fashion. Milan is recognized as one of the most important fashion capitals in the world because of its international fashion as well as many brands were born in the capital of Italy, like Prada. Who doesn't love the fashion in Europe? Anywhere you travel you will find the coolest street wear and designer labels.

Traveling to Milan, I had no idea what to bring. I am the kind of girl you will find either wearing an athleisure ensemble or slip-on sneakers with trousers and a graphic tee. My style changes constantly to whatever I am feeling and where I am at, so being in Milan I definitely had to adapt and try out a new style or two. No, this blog post is not going to be about what I wore every single day, as we all know that would be quite entertaining right? Well I wanted to share about a place in Milan that I was able to see, it is considered one of the most fashionable hotspots in Italy as well as being a place unifying art, luxury, and culture, 10 Corso Como.

10 Corso Como is an area that is all things from high-end fashion, dining, architecture, and art. It was founded in 1990 by publisher and gallerist, Carla Sozzani. Carla Sozzani is also known because of her sister, Franca Sozzani, who is the editor in chief of Italian Vogue. It is a must see visit for any traveling fashionista because of its eccentric and chic dynamic. 10 Corso Como features a beauty products from top brands, high-end clothing from designers such as Gucci, Lanvin, and Comme des Garcons, as well as art exhibitions that are year round. It is a place for those who favor culture, art, and beauty.

When I went to see 10 Corso Como, I was greeted by a secret garden ambiance as I trailed my way into the store to browse through all of the clothing I could not afford. My heart was beating like a drum to even have the privilege to hold a pair of Gucci Princetown slippers, which were around $1,300. The store itself was beautiful, the high ceilings and the crisp designs of the art décor and the architecture. The layout was something I have never seen before in the United States. After looking through the clothing, I made my way up the stairs to find a book store that had books ranging from art, photography, and fashion. Along with books there were modern sculptures and pieces of furniture, such as a ring lounge chair that was hanging from the ceiling. 10 Corso Como having clothing and books, they also had a terrace with a roof garden. The terrace hosted works of art as well as a variety of plants that were more chic than me. The terrace was a combination of peace and elegance.

I would definitely recommend hitting up the 10 Corso Como if you are interested and/or pursuing fashion. As Carla Sozzani says it is a "living magazine" which combines art and fashion under one roof. You will be truly mesmerized from the second you walk in and for the rest of your life.

Here below are photos of my day trip to 10 Corso Como as well as the website if you are interested to learn more! I was told that taking photos inside the store was prohibited so I managed to secretly capture a few! Ask me any questions and I will be happy to answer! Ciao!
